Abstract

The world's urgent environmental issues are driving a rapid shift towards a greener economy. Governments, businesses, and communities are
embracing sustainable practices to reduce their environmental impact. This transition, while crucial, has complex implications for labor
markets. This study examines how the green economy, encompassing sectors like renewable energy and sustainable agriculture, affects jobs
across different countries. Green jobs focused on sustainability can create new opportunities, but traditional sectors may see job losses. To
navigate this, the study calls for workforce retraining and supportive policies. By analyzing data from various sources, it reveals the overall
positive impact of green policies on jobs, including not just numbers but also factors like job security and wages. Successful approaches from
diverse countries are highlighted, emphasizing the generally positive effects of green policies. This comprehensive analysis provides
policymakers with the confidence to endorse green initiatives, recognizing their role in achieving both environmental and economic well-being.
